Weber 7770001 Summit Platinum B6 Propane Grill, Stainless Steel Review
I have to admit that I had a hard time choosing between the Summit Platinum B6 Propane Grill and the D6, the only difference being the rotisserie. In the end, I realized that I didn't eat a lot of chicken on the grill (give me steaks or tuna), so I didn't pay the extra 0 for something I was likely not going to use (the rotisserie). I am extremely happy with this grill. First of all, friends, it's just absolutely gorgeous. The stainless steel is beautiful and very easy to clean. Secondly, this bad boy cranks up to full heat in less than 10 minutes. Thirdly, the heating is sufficient to sear tuna (1 minute per side with sashimi grade ahi tuna, and perfection) or steak without cooking it all the way through. Finally, the heat is even throughout, and the adjustable burners make for very easy indirect cooking.
I have to admit that I am still a charcoal man at heart (and I keep an old Weber charcoal pit on the side), but I may have made a late life conversion based upon the ease of use here. It's just too easy, and has had me cooking outside much much more.
As an aside, this grill arrived in New Orleans (home town) one month before the storm. Consequentally, this baby was my sole source of cooking for over a month. I think that makes it a survival tool, and I'm thinking about sending the receipt to FEMA. ;)

Weber 7770001 Summit Platinum B6 Propane Grill, Stainless Steel Specifications
With its impressive roster of features and durable stainless steel construction, the Summit Platinum line represents the peak of gas-grill performance. It has both a 57,600 BTU main burner and a 12,000-BTU commercial-grade side burner--so you can heat side dishes and sauces while meat grills. Six rust-resistant stainless steel burners run the length of the cookbox for even heating without hot or cold spots. Infinitely-adjustable burner valves let you cook with direct or indirect heat, while a spacious 902 square inches of total cooking area provides enough room to cook for even the biggest groups. An electronic Crossover ignition system lights all burners in succession with the push of a button. The stainless steel hood features double-wall construction, adding a layer of insulation to trap heat and protect against discoloration. Rugged, weather-resistant wheels are crack-proof in the most extreme temperatures and allow easy transport, while locking casters prevent the grill from rolling while you cook. Burners even have screens to keep spiders from spinning combustible webs inside.
The propane-fueled Summit Platinum B6 also comes loaded with extras including: a fixed commercial-grade thermometer, three sturdy tool holders and a roomy storage area with stainless steel doors and a heavy-gauge steel bottom shelf. One removable and two swing-up work surfaces offer plenty of space to spread out sauces, marinades, utensils and other prep essentials; they're made from granite-look Thermoset with stainless steel inserts for maximum durability, heat and weather resistance, and ease of cleaning. Weber’s patented Flavorizer bars eliminate flare-ups caused by lava rocks and ceramic briquets--so fats and juices hit the angled bars and sizzle away, adding delicious, smoky barbecue flavor instead of flames. A convenient warming rack keeps already-cooked foods warm, plus is great for toasting hamburger buns. The warm-up basket is perfect for grilling easily-burned foods such as fish or vegetables. Finally, when the barbecue’s through, a slide-out bottom tray funnels grease into a removable catch pan for quick and easy clean-up.
Best of all, ten fasteners are all that's needed to put this grill together, meaning you'll go from box to barbecue in less than 40 minutes. The Summit Platinum B6 measures 62-1/2 inches tall, 68 inches wide, and 34-1/2 inches deep. A propane tank must be purchased separately. This item has a limited, lifetime warranty, and is made in the USA. --Mary Park
